Le Mans Overview

The legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans took place on the 17th and 18th of June 2006.
This race is something special for everybody taking place in this race but something really special to Jamie. In 2003 he won the GTS class with a Ferrari 550 with the Veloqx/Prodrive Team. In 2004 he jumped on the podium in the incredible 24 hour race with the Audi R8 and the Veloqx Team. He started from the pole position, drove the fastest lap of the race and finished 2nd overall after leading the race for 15 hours.
This year Jamie couldn't take place actively in the race but he was still there to be part of it. He worked for Motors TV as a commentator to support the other commentators with his technical knowledge of the subject.
Jamie: "Commentating the race was great fun although I prefer to drive. I had great victories with Audi in 2004 and I am happy for them that they had a successful race again this year."
